Help and support

Customer service and support are a vital part of the web hosting industry and can often be the weak point in the overall product. At Host1 we want to make sure that our fantastic technology is not let down by the support that comes with it and have put a lot of effort into ensuring that our customer service department is capable of providing the best possible service.

Direct Support - available to all PFS2 and PFS3 customers

In addition to the regular helpdesk team, customers will also have direct access to our 3rd level technicians whenever you need it.

All our 3rd level technicians are highly trained, fully certified and pose the authority to do whatever is needed to fix your problem.

They are held accountable for the performance of your website, their role is to help you, NOT to get rid of you.

As an extra service, our staff can also help with issues that fall outside of what would normally be classified as product support. This 'Expert Advice' is available on an ongoing basis, but is limited to no more than one issue per month. We are happy to help where needed, but we are not to be used as a replacement for an IT department or inhouse webmaster.

Examples of where we can help:

  • help with debugging your scripts
  • help in removing a virus infection from your web site
  • testing your site for security holes
  • help with installing 3rd party software such as shopping carts and forums

We are continuously adding and updating our knowledge base, it covers both hosting and domain registration issues. It will take you only seconds to do a search, and you are very likley to find the solution to your problems.

Email Support

Our preferred method of support is email, it is the most efficient way for our staff to provide support, we have a stated goal of replying to all emails within 2 hours during our office hours.

Our staff are available to provide phone support, but you must first attempt to solve your problem by email. Any emails you send us will result in a ticket being allocated to your issue, you will need to quote this ticket number when you call us.
